Benefits of Selenite | Satin Spar: First off, what most people know as selenite, is actually satin spar. Both selenite and satin spar are types of gypsum. True selenite is transparent and doesn’t feature the opaque, fiber optic properties that are characteristic of satin spar. But don’t fret, they both have similar properties and can be used interchangeably. Think of them as uber close siblings. Selenite/satin spar is most commonly used to cleanse. It is one of the simplest and fool-proof methods for cleansing other crystals. To do so, simply place your crystals on top of your selenite/satin spar and leave for at least 6 hours. It is excellent for cleansing one’s aura and removing toxic influence or energies. It can also be used in conjunction with cleansing herbs like sage when cleansing a space. Simply, place your selenite in the four corners of the space to help prevent unwanted energies from returning. Best of all due to its immense cleansing ability, selenite/satin spar never has to be cleansed!

Below are a few ideas, but don't be afraid to experiment with different methods, whether or not we've listed them below.

  1. Carry Them: One of the simplest ways to benefit from crystals is to carry them with you. You can place them in your pocket, purse, or backpack. If you do choose to do this, I'd recommend using smaller sized crystals, like tumbles or even palms tones

  2. Wear Crystal Jewelry: Crystal jewelry, such as necklaces, bracelets, and rings, is a stylish way to incorporate crystals into your daily life. Choose jewelry with crystals that align with your intentions or needs.

  3. Meditation: Crystals can enhance your meditation practice. Hold a crystal in your hand or place it on your body to deepen your meditation experience. Some people use crystals to help focus their intention during meditation. Clear quartz is one of the best crystals to start with for meditation, as it promotes mental clarity.

  4. Crystal Grids: Create crystal grids by arranging crystals in specific geometric patterns. These grids are used to amplify and manifest intentions. There are various grid designs for different purposes, such as healing, abundance, and protection.

  5. Place Them in Your Environment: Decorate your home or workspace with crystals based on your intentions. Place throughout your  environment to infuse your space with their energy. Different crystals can be used for different purposes in different areas of your space. For example, a crystal for focus or organization might be better suited in your office, as opposed to your bathroom.

  6. Sleeping with Crystals: Place crystals under your pillow or on your nightstand to enhance your sleep quality and promote lucid dreaming. Amethyst and Selenite are popular choices for this purpose. Remember, the smaller the better.  If placing a crystal under your pillow isn't your thing, simply place it on your nightstand.
